Why Advertisers use Digital marketing to

Why Advertisers support Ad-sense

Google is the biggest search engine on the web. It controls over 40% of Internet searches, and with that it controls pay per click advertising (pay per click). PPC involves the advertiser paying a rate for every click through (CTR) in which the advertisers set. As their budget increases, their position increases, and as their position increases, they get more traffic.

This has lead to over 140,000 companies choosing to advertise with them, and they advertise in a number of ways. The first way is through is through appearing on Google searches, the second is through appearing on distributors websites, and the third is through appearing in distributors search results. As advertisers appear in Google searches, the question is sometimes asked. Why do they choose to advertise with distributors as well?

One reason for this is scalability. Those who originally choose to advertise in search results and who were getting a ROI (return on investment) will decide at one point that they need to identify other advertising opportunities. With thousands of websites which have the capacity to display their adverts the advertisers can gain further exposure very quickly.

Another reason why advertisers choose to advertise in Google distributors websites is that it gains them further exposure. 60% of internet users do not use Google, so the advertiser can appeal to a wider audience through choosing to opt for distribution channels. Many website users may be looking to buy a product such as a phone, yet instead of coming across a website which sells such a product, they come across an article. If the article is on a website which contains Adsense then inevitably advertisers can use this channel to penetrate their audience.

Another reason why advertisers choose adsense is because they trust Google. The company is renowned for being an ethical company who are fun to work whilst providing free services to millions worldwide. Advertisers feel that money invested with Google is safe. Despite the evolution of click-fraud and its inevitable disadvantages for advertisers they appear to understand that this is an issue which Google wants to stop and hopefully will eventually. Advertisers are happy that Google admits a problem exits and provides refunds accordingly.

The trust in Google also stems from a trust in pricing. The pricing is set by market forces and therefore advertisers never feel that publishers or Google are overpricing the service. This means that as long as advertisers are able to advertise they will continue to do so, if not at the same rates.

Another strong advantage for advertisers is that they can appear where publishers promote their service. An example of this can seen if you consider a publisher who is discussing the benefits of new IT software. If a software retailer appears on the website then inevitably they will be the likely source from which the web surfer will purchase the product. If the surfer is not interested then you could argue that they would not click on the advert.

The service which Google provides has created an opportunity for businesses of all sizes to advertise. Although the issue of click fraud still plagues the service it is till widely regarded as the best. New businesses attempt to promote themselves on the web, whilst established brands alike choose to attract interest in their service using the same technique.

Search Engine Optimization And Why You Gotta Use It

Search Engine Optimization And Why You Gotta Use It

E-commerce is a cut throat business. You have to arm yourself with the proper know-how and the tools to make your site a cut above the rest.

Each day, more and more sites are clambering to optimize their rankings in websites and if you lose your guard, you may just get trampled on and be left in the abyss filled with so many failed e-commerce sites.

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is a term widely used today by many e-commerce sites. Making money from a content rich niche marketing website can be very easy, very difficult or impossible. First let’s define and describe what a content rich niche market website is and how it works. You won’t find a list for “Niche Markets” anywhere. There isn’t one.  A person will find niche marketers when he types words into his favorite search engine and hits search. For the past few years and the next ten years or so, search engines would be the most widely used internet tool to find the sites that they need to go to or the product or information they need. Most people that use search engines use only the ten top search results in the first page. Making it to the first page, more so to the top three is a barometer of a sites success in search engine optimization. You will get a higher ratio of probability in being clicked on when you rank high. The more traffic for your site, the more business you rake in. But, it is essential to grab a hold of that spot or make your ranking even better. As I aforementioned, each day is a new day for all e-commerce sites to make them selves rank higher using search engine optimization. It is imperative to make your site better and better everyday.

So just what is search engine optimization and do you have to use it? The answer to why you have to use it is an easy one. You need search engine optimization to be number one, or maybe at least make your site income generating. With search engine optimization you can get the benefit of generating a high traffic volume. Let’s say he types in “Improving my golf score”. He will get many hits that will provide links that take him to niche marketing sites. On these sites, he will be asked to enter his email address and opt-in to receiving a newsletter. Since he is in need of learning how to improve his golf score, he willingly does that. On the content rich site he will find articles and other information about improving his golf score and advertisements for products and services designed to help him improve his golf score.  In the future he will receive a newsletter, about every two weeks usually, and he will have become a niche market customer. If you are the niche marketer, the opt-in email address supplied is pure gold because you will have a customer or a potential customer. Let’s just say you get only a turn out of successful sales with 10 to 20 percent of your traffic. If you get a hundred hits or more a day, you get a good turn out of sales already. If you get only twenty to ten hits a day, you only get one or two if not any at all. So once again, what is search engine optimization? Search engine optimization is utilizing tools and methods in making your site top ranking in the results of search engines. Getting yourself in the first page and better yet in the top half of the page will ensure that your site will generate public awareness of your site’s existence and subsequently generate more traffic, traffic that could lead to potential income and business.

Search engine optimization requires a lot of work to be fully realized. There are many aspects you have to change in your site or add as well to get search engine optimization. These will include getting lots of information about the keyword phrases that are popular in regards to your sites niche or theme. You may also need to rewrite your sites contents so that you could get the right keyword phrases in your site without making it too commercial but light and informative. There are certain rules and guidelines to be followed with making your site’s content applicable and conducive to search engine optimization. You will also need to collaborate with many other sites so that you could get link exchanges and page transfers. The more inbound and outbound traffics generated by sites among others are one of the components search engines uses to rank sites. Try to search the internet for many useful help. When he buys the products and/or services that you are advertising on your site, you will make money. Having a content rich site enhances the possibility of sales.

The trick to making money from a content rich niche marketing website is to have a topic that helps people solve their problems, makes them feel better or look better, or supplies them with information that they need. You will need to have related products and services advertised on your site since that is where the income actually comes from. The website content is what makes people visit your site again and again. The more content rich it is will determine how often they visit and how long they stay. The longer they stay the more opportunities you have to sell to them. Tips, guidelines and methods for search engine optimization are plenty to be found. Read many articles that can help you optimize your site in search engine results. The more knowledge and information you gather the better. This will all help you in getting those high rankings. This may require a little time and effort in your part but the benefits will be astounding. If you can part with some money, there are many sites in the internet that can help you in search engine optimization. There are many sites that help in tracking keyword phrases that can help your site. There are also some content writers that have lots of experience in making good keyword laden content for your sites that have good quality. Act now and see the benefits garner with search engine optimization. All of these will result to better traffic and more business for your site and company.

3 Marketing tactics for generating tax leads.

3 Marketing tactics for generating tax leads.

Marketing to generate tax leads can be very complex and time consuming.

Here are some tools that are brilliantly simple and will generate quality inbound tax resolution leads, tax preparation leads.

Tip #1) The more that your potential customers see your name in front of them, the more likely they are to call your number (and not someone else's) when they need the services you offer.
Many marketing efforts go unrewarded, not because they were off target but simply because they weren't given enough of an opportunity to work. Showing your TV commercial one time, running an ad in the newspaper once, or doing one mailing of postcards is not enough to grab and keep the audience's attention.
Get your name out there, do it on a regular basis and people will remember you when they need someone in your line of business. Actually, this particular tip cannot be stressed enough - and failure to adhere to it is the #1 reason new businesses fail.
Tip # 2) Measure your Return On Investment (ROI) in terms of actual MONEY not response rate. An advertising vehicle is working when the MONEY that it brings in has more value than the MONEY and time that is spent on the marketing.
Don't fall into the trap of becoming discouraged by a small number of callers responding to a large number of pieces. If you spend several hundred dollars to be in the view of a few thousand possible leads, it may only take a few customers responding for you to make enough of a profit for this type of marketing to be valuable. The usefulness of any vehicle can only be determined after the amount of income generated by the promotion has been calculated. If you spend 1/5 of what you generate or generate 5 times what you spend, your campaign was successful.
Tip #3) It is much easier to "sell" a prospect once you get them to call or come in to your store. In 2-Step Marketing, step 1 is to get them interested; step 2 is having them speak to a representative to get all the details - and get "closed" by that representative.
Your design must be eye catching and informative, but don't try to close the sale by explaining all of the details in one piece of advertising. The details of a business transaction often take many more words to explain than the main concept of what is being sold. All you want to do is prompt prospects or repeat customer to call to get the rest of the details once you have gotten their interest.
Marketing can be as simple as 1-2-3 when you know the basics. By no means have I given you all the basics here, but by learning and implementing these 3 marketing fundamentals, you are already on your way to marketing success.
Valuable Marketing Lessons Not Taught Anywhere Else
Let's face it - marketing is expensive. You need to be an educated consumer these days if you want to be in control of your spending and your income. The problem is that most people don't know what they don't know - and the toughest thing about that is - how do you know exactly where to look when you don't even know what you're looking for?? And to make matters worse, many business owners spend thousands of dollars in marketing, trusting so called 'experts' only to fail - and then become gun shy from marketing in the future. The reason for failure could be a multitude of things, but it always comes down to simple elements that can be easily fixed.
Did you know that according to a 2006 survey by the United States Postal Service, 39% of households find advertising mail interesting? And in that same report, only 9% of households find email advertising interesting compared to a measly 3% for telemarketing? But more importantly a business owner needs to know how all these advertising mediums work together and which one is right for their specific business and which ones are not. Some of the smartest CEOs in the nation (I met many of them at the Inc 500 Conference) do NOT know the basics of how to market! Wow! If these CEOs - who run the nation's fastest-growing privately-held companies- do NOT know marketing basics, what about all the small business owners that are struggling?

7 Costly Social Media Marketing Mistakes

7 Costly Social Media Marketing Mistakes

Social media gives unprecedented access to people interested in your niche or industry, or the products and services you offer. However, some new users of the networks can get so excited by the prospect of more profits that they end up costing themselves through simple yet avoidable mistakes. Here are the top 7 to watch out for if you are a newbie social media marketer.

1. Unclear goals

Do you want sales, subscribers, followers? Plan every campaign around a specific goal, which you can measure by getting the target market to take particular action. By limiting the number of actions available in the message or campaign, you help to reduce returns, unsubscribes, and unfollows.

2. Unprofessional profiles

Make your profile as informative and professional as possible. Include basic information that potential customers or clients want to know, along with info that makes you stand out from your competition. A logo and colors help you to be recognized at a glance, so be sure to add a unique and professional logo to your profile.

3. Following too few people

As soon as you sign on for most social sites, they ask you what you are interested in and give recommendations as to who you might like to follow. Take these suggestions seriously and sign up, because the ones they are suggesting are usually the top participants at the site in relation to your niche.

4. Promoting too soon

Most newbies to social networking are there because they’ve heard it is a great way to reach millions of people. They no sooner sign up with their profile than they start to crank out posts, tweets, and promotions at lightning speed.

Social networks are just that, social. It's not about you hammering out promotion after promotion. Focus on building relationships and connections that are based on your common personal and/or business interests.

5. Publishing the wrong content

Every social network attracts people who prefer a specific type of content or type of delivery. For example, most Twitter users want very short and to-the-point messages. Most content online is text-based, but many social networks are driven by eye-catching content, such as images and video. Organize your material into folders for each network so you deliver the right type of content to each social media network, based on its specialties and the preferences of their users.

6. Ignoring daily search results

Conduct a quick search each day for a couple of your business's keywords and/or brand products. Look for mentions of your business, product, and/or your name. Also look for questions and positive or negative comments on other sites.

If you see questions, answer them and/or refer the person to a specific URL for more information. If you see positive comments and reviews, thank them. If you see negative, refer them to your customer service email for more details on what their issue is. The offer of help will show good will to anyone who might have seen it and sort the real customers from those who might be doing nothing more than trying to damage your reputation online.

7. Retaliating

No matter how unfair they have been. Just don’t retaliate in public. It could cost you more than you can ever imagine. Keep it professional always.

Email is a great way to market to your audience of one.

Email Marketing

Email is a great way to market to your audience of one. Create customer-centric emails that are personalized and to one person only. Ensure that every single email you send to your list members is useful and valuable. Don’t send an email just for the sake of doing it because you were told you must.

01. Consider using your name in the “from address” of your email marketing campaigns. The reason is that using a no-reply or a business name results in fewer opens. It isn’t as friendly and personal as using your own name.

02. Act in a trustworthy manner. Your audience is important to you so never send them information that’s wrong without owning up to it. People appreciate it when you admit mistakes rather than hide them or cover them up.

03. To connect with your audience better when sending an email to them treat them like a friend that you’re simply sharing good information with. Empathize with them and let them know they’re not alone.

04. Make it worth it for your audience to open and read your emails. Always include a surprise in every three or four emails so they get used to the idea that you may give something away in your emails that no one else is going to get.

05. Focus on crafting headlines that let your readers know what’s inside and why they should open without being click-bait. Click-bait might work for a time, but eventually, it stops working. Because you are here to serve your audience and click-bait does the opposite, just don’t do it.

06. Learn the power words that make your audience eager to open your emails and read them.

07. People like lists so if you use a number in your email subject line it’s going to be more likely to be opened.

08. A great topic to write about is the mistakes people make. “7 Mistakes You’re Making” is going to get more clicks than “7 Things You Should Do” because no one wants to make mistakes.

09. Segmentation is imperative for good email marketing because that’s the only way you can freely mention the right product, the right service, and the right topic to them at the right time.

10. Check out your competition’s email marketing list. Sign up for their freebies and watch how they do things. Don’t copy them, but do figure out how they do it, identify the gaps, and note the topics.

11. Don’t be cheeky or clever. Straightforward subject lines are always better than that. Respect your audience enough to avoid that type of thing because it really doesn’t work anyway.

12. Work on building a real relationship with your email list members. Let them reply directly to the emails you send, and then answer them. They like knowing a real person is behind the emails rather than nothing at all.

13. Writing takes practice. Email writing should be a little more laid back than most people think. Email should be personal, brief, and exciting to read. Show your enthusiasm by your word choice. Try talking your emails using voice to text to get the rhythm right.

14. Get personal in email. Share your experiences and give details that you normally would not give on your site. Trusting your readers with a little known fact will make them feel special and that your friendship is mutual.

15. Avoid automated, stiff greetings. When emailing, comment on something that connects you and the reader. You can lead in by mentioning a holiday, what you’re doing later, the crazy weather, or something that you have in common with your readers.

16. In your high school English class, you were probably taught to write in the third person, rather than using you and I. However, you should talk directly to each individual, using the word “you” to allude to your more personal relationship, which helps persuade your readers to take the action based on your relationship and their trust.

17. Remember that email is just another way to talk to your customers. The people on your email list have either received a freebie from you, purchased from you, or in some other way “know” you. Speak to them in that manner rather than in a formal nature.

18. Don’t be dull. Add your own personality into your email messages. Even if you use PLR email messages, editing them to reflect your tone and voice make a lot of difference in the amount of customer engagement.

19. Focus on becoming a trusted resource to your readers before you make a sales pitch. Inform, educate, engage, and inspire your readers toward action.

20. Tell stories to your audience that leads them to make the conclusion to buy what you’re recommending to them. Stories can be case studies, your own story, or client stories. When they see real life examples, they’ll be much more connected to the content.

Inbound Marketing

Inbound Marketing: This type of marketing works on the principle of understanding specific customer groups, with specific needs.

This then forms the basis of research that leads to product design. The other players that form major contributors are packaging for the specific demographics and it’s pricing thereof. How does one describe a product such that the customer understands the product/service and its differentiation from the competitors, if any.

The most important part is determining the personality of the product and what language should it communicate in to the customers. Outbound Marketing: This is the traditional method of marketing where the company initiates a conversation with the intent of sending a message out to the customer.

Outbound Marketing is the opposite of Inbound Marketing and follows the traditional approach to marketing using offline methods such as trade shows, direct mails and customer calling. It intends to interrupt what you are doing or following and instigates the customer to change their current course of action or thought process.

This is what makes this form of marketing less effective as compared to Inbound Marketing since it is attempts to bring out a change and resistance to change is always a tough phenomenon to overcome. While this may be the conventional method of marketing but it is also less effective as compared to Inbound Marketing.  Inbound Marketing is also in line with how the society today views its marketing needs, a company shouting its needs is not really something that we want anymore, we want a company to be able to pass a message in an organic way, non intrusive and un-obstructive where a customer still feels that they are in control of the decision process and they are not forced into making a decision by a brand that shouts its value. The rise of the internet has given rise to the concepts of Inbound Marketing, the consumer is no longer reliant on billboards and TV ads to learn about products. The web has empowered a new generation of users and marketers, it has bridged the gap that separated the two and made it possible to reach a wider audience, speaking the language that they do. It has opened a whole new world of finding, buying, researching brands and products.

The basis being that this type of marketing is trying to earn a customer’s respect and not buy it, it is finding the right communication strategy that will bring the customer to the brand and incite them to engage in a conversation. Some of the most common tools to achieve this are done using social media, creating content that engages the user such a blogs, podcasts.

The Basics of Marketing to generate tax leads

Marketing to generate tax leads

It is essentially the positioning of a product, which a customer needs in a particular place at a price that the customer sees value for money for the product/service.

Any product/service that is able to address the above has successfully marketed itself. The list might seem relatively simple but there are several contributors that lead to a seemingly simple desirable outcome and it takes extensive research and accurate analysis of the data targeted and created in the demographic basis which the pricing is determined.

It is worthwhile to note that marketing is the study of several factors and there are times when the most expensive marketing fails to return value for money, on close inspection it would not be hard to find that one or more of the primary contributors have been overlooked. How marketing is approached can broadly be classified into one of the two categories mentioned below.

Most often companies create a product that they think the customer needs and then spend money and crucial budget on getting the customer to accept the product/service. It is not about what they think the customer needs, it is about knowing what the customer demand is and then working on it. There is no use creating a beautiful garden which might not flourish in the climatic conditions of the target market:

If you've been using Google's Ad-Sense

S.E.O for Adsense

If you've been using Google's Ad-Sense on your pages you obviously feel the need to somehow generate even more traffic for your website, which in turn would translate to more Ad-Sense click and a higher income.

But who do you do this? Well, the major way you'll get visitors to see your website (other then using Ad-Words, which is encouraged as well) is to use some techniques to have search engines send more and more users towards your page, by ranking high in search results for your topics of interest.

Believe it or not this is a technique, better known as search-engine optimization or simply SEO. So here are a bunch of tips that come handy under every amateur or professional optimizer's belt.

The first thing you need to take care of is the actual source code and layout of your page. This has to be kept as simple as possible. The problem comes when AdSense and the search engines themselves begin to have troubles in extracting the most relevant keywords on your site because of a too complex layout.

Secondly, try to have each one of your pages target only one specific topic. This way it is a lot easier for them to get indexed properly and for the AdSense ads to be consistent with the content of the site itself.

Also, try not to include too many hyperlinks in your page as well. This also means you should try not to use too many AdSense ads on your page either.

If there are certain keywords you wish to target, make sure the word you wish to target is present in the title, in the first paragraphs as well as in the name of the file. While you're at it you might want to ensure the word springs up in the page's last paragraphs.

And of course, it's very important for your content to have original and compelling content. How do you do this? Well the easiest way to do it is to find something you're really passionate about. That way, providing you give it a lot of effort you're bound to have a great page quite fast.

If the content you use in your site is in the public domain (which is highly discouraged) make sure that you at least give it an original title, and add an opening and a closing paragraph of your own.

This takes a little while, but if, after waiting, you still can't find your page near the top, you should try rewriting your title and your first and last paragraphs. It doesn't take much, often just changing a few words will give you the right results.

And of, course there's the use of keyword tools that may aid you in finding some good keywords to include on your page that will drive visitors to your site more and more.

So those are about the basic techniques in search engine optimization. You can find a lot of computer tools to aid you in doing this, and of course, Google is a great place to search for this.

In the end, you'll find that SEO is a complex topic, and entire books have been written on the topic as well. You might find that you have a lot of optimization you need to do in order to get more and more visitors to your site and clicking those precious AdSense banners.

Ad-sense Alternatives Many people have started using Google's Ad-Sense program, but there are some who find it a bit too uncertain or simply not suiting their own requirements from an ad program.

Ad-sense Alternatives Many people have started using Google's Ad-Sense program, but there are some who find it a bit too uncertain or simply not suiting their own requirements from an ad program.

But thankfully for such people, there are many alternatives to AdSense which attempt to alleviate some of its shortcomings. Here is a list of the most noteworthy ones from the lot with a description concerning each one.

AllFeeds (http://www.allfeeds.com/?action=publishers)
AllFeeds has a great pool of online advertisers to choose from. It also features many display formats that you can choose from. These include banners, buttons, XML feeds, DHTML pop-ups and so on. It also features real time reporting of your ad status. The site will mail a check every month, provided that you earn more then $25.00, while rolling over earnings for the next month if you don't. Another interesting thing about AllFeeds is that it integrates with Google AdSense, maximizing your earnings with AdSense.

Leads Generation

MarketBanker allows you the unique possiblity to set the pricing for your site. It also allows you to allow or reject any link that appears on your site (although AdSense itself does a very good job of this as well, with URL filters) There's also a statistics section which will allow you to see how well your site is doing. The ads are small just like AdSense's and they're just as easy to set up. Also, registration for MarketBanker is free.

BidClix is different because it has advertisers compete for clicks on your site, which in turn is meant to generate the highest possible profits for your page. It also has a very large pool of advertisers which ensure there are plenty of people to choose your site. However, it does require more polish on site contents then AdSense. As most sites, real time statistics are available and its very easy to get started with this service, but it's also very flexible.

option=RealContext:+Contextual+Targeting+Engine)
RealContext uses Artificial intelligence to retrieve the most relevant ads for your page. And there's an extra feature which makes RealContext unique as well. Keywords are selected based upon which previous selections payed off and which didn't. That means there's a constant feedback process that ensures you gain better revenue from your ads. It also supports blocking certain adds and child-safe filtering and many more options.

AdHearus is a very feature-packed contextual ad provider. As with AdSense, advertisements are targeted but it doesn't stop here at all. The ads are very flexible, you can select from text-ads, banners, rectangles, pop-ups, pop-unders or skyscrapers. You can also display your own ads, through rotation, both on your site and on other affiliate sites, which makes AdHearus a hybrid with conventional advertising technologies. There's a very comprehensive on-line real time reporting feature and, as usual with such services, starting out is free and it's a breeze.

AffiliateSensor has highly customizable ad blocks, which you can make for yourself with an easy to use on-line interface. You also get realtime reporting with clicks-by-domain, page and refferer. There's integration with Google AdSense as well, through the google_alternate_ad_url so AffiliateSensor can be used as a substitute for Google PSA's (Public Service Ads).

Kanoodle Bright Ads (http://www.kanoodle.com/about/brightads.cool)
Kanoodle's offering allows publishers to get ads related to topics or segments, and not the traditional keyword oriented ads. The site also groups publisher sites with advertisers by hand to ensure high-revenue generating ads. And speaking of revenue, the amount of money you receive is a clear 50% share of the amount of money Kanoodle recieves for an advertiser.

TargetPoint (http://publisher.targetpoint.com)
TargetPoint is oriented more towards content publishers. It offers full control over the look the ads, statistics over your site's overall performance and better revenue. It's free to register and you earn a guaranteed 60% of the total revenue. You can get payed with Paypal of Bank checks and (most times) wire transfers as well.

Clicksor (http://www.clicksor.com)
Clicksor will earn you as much as 60% from the amount of money your website produces. What you get is about the same as AdSense, there are targeted text ads, you can view the revenues from your website in real time. You can receive money via PayPal or through a check every two weeks, provided that you have earned more then $50. If you haven't made that much, your earning roll over to the next period
